Fireside chat – the promotion of cycling between regulation and infrastructure needs

The mobility of tomorrow is at the centre of media attention. Congestion, air pollution and the scarcity of land make a transformation of the mobility sector inevitable. Cycling can play an important role here. But how can the issue of cycling be better placed and advanced in the political process? What possibilities exist between regulation and infrastructure upgrade? The Association of German Cities, the German County Association and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities have invited mayors and county commissioners to take part in a high-level discussion within the framework of the National Cycling Congress. Top representatives from the municipalities will meet in a small circle to discuss the future of cycling at the local authority level.
