Lodging tax of the city of Dresden
On 1 July 2015, the city of Dresden introduced a lodging tax for overnight stays in hotels in Dresden. This tax is levied separately.
An exemption from the lodging tax for business-related stays can be granted under the following conditions: the hotel is provided with a written confirmation by the customer regarding the booking that is addressed to the hotel and signed and that includes the date of the stay as well as a statement that the stay is for business reasons.
